press release COVID19-chevron donates goods, equipment and medical supplies in cabinda

Cabinda, April 23, 2020 - Chevron's subsidiary, Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (CABGOC), as part of the partnership in the framework of the partnership with the Cabinda Provincial Government to improve the health system and in response to the COVID-19 pandemic preparedness plan, today CABGOC delivers goods, equipment, medical supplies and food products. 

This contribution is part of its institutional training programs and improvement of the operational effectiveness of the health system. The donation includes the installation of 574 hygiene stations, four tons of various products (medical supplies, equipment and food products), the supply of 4400 meals (1400 breakfasts, 1500 lunches and 1500 dinners) to staff in institutional isolation and the training of 130 community agents to conduct awareness sessions and distributed educational leaflets in the municipalities of Cabinda and Cacongo.

CABGOC operates in Angola for more than 60 years during which it has supported the country in areas such as health, education and economic development and consequently its success has been intrinsically linked to the well-being of the communities where it operates.
